While you can watch or listen to PM PrepCast lessons, PM Podcast episodes, and  PDU PodCast webinars online on our websites using your browser, you can also opt to work offline. This article describes how to download the content onto your computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile device.

Using a Podcast Application

In order to download the content, you need a Podcast Application installed on your computer/laptop/device or mobile If you do not have one, select and install a podcast application.

Device/ Platform/Operating System	Recommendation
Android Phone/ Tablet	We recommend Pocket Casts. Podcast Addict and Google Podcasts also work on Android
iOS: iPhone/iPad/Mac	Apple iOS has an official Apple Podcast app Pocket Casts and Google Podcasts also work on iOS
Windows	We recommend Pocket Casts. iTunes is also available for Windows

As there are so many applications available that are ever-changing. We only provide instructions for these applications. (Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, Pocket Cast, Podcast Addict, and iTunes).

General Approach

Every application is different, but all have the same approach:

• First, copy your personal RSS URL
• Select "subscribe to podcast" or the equivalent on your app
• Paste your personal RSS URL, and click OK.

Some applications offer an option for  "one-click" podcast subscriptions, which can add your subscription automatically after one click. If that doesn't work, then you have to subscribe manually. 

Some applications allow you to download content all at once. Other applications require users to select which lessons/episodes to download, so you can only download them some at a time.

Personal RSS URL

To download the content, you need your personal RSS URL that is contained in the email from support@pm-prepcast.com that was sent to you with the Subject heading, "Thank you for your order..." or includes "access info". As stated above, we suggest that you copy your personal RSS URL from the email so you can paste it when you need to enter it into the podcast application at a later step. If you can't find your RSS URL for this video, please send an email to support@pm-prepcast.com

 

Detailed Steps

Apple Podcast App

1. If you do not have the Apple Podcast installed on your device, download the application from https://www.pm-prepcast.com/apple-podcasts
2. Launch the Apple Podcast application on your preferred Apple device.
3. On mobile, tap Library in the bottom toolbar. Tap the overflow three dots menu "..." in the top right corner and tap "Follow a Show by URL…" On a desktop or tablet, go to “File” on the top toolbar and click “Follow a Show by URL…”
4. Enter your personal podcast RSS URL. 
5. Click Follow to confirm your interest in following the show. You should see a confirmation screen indicating that you are successfully following the show.
6. The show should be listed under Shows in the Library section and under Recently Updated.
7. Click on Episodes and filter for Sort Oldest to Newest.
8. Click See All to see all episodes.
9. You can choose to play, download an episode, save an episode, or add it to your queue, so you should be all set!

Google Podcasts

1. If you do not have the Google Podcast installed on your device, download the application from https://www.pm-prepcast.com/google-podcasts
2. Launch the Google Podcast application.
3. Click the Activity icon (bottom-right of your screen)
4. Click the Subscriptions link at the top-right part of your screen.
5. Click the overflow three dots "···" menu (upper-right)
6. Select Add by RSS feed
7. Type or copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL. 
8. Click Subscribe.
9. The videos/files should begin downloading, so you should be all set!

Note: Google Podcasts has a timeout of about 20 seconds and does not complete the subscription/load for large RSS downloads, so you may get an error if you try to download all episodes or multiple "large" files.

Pocket Casts

1. If you do not have the Pocket Casts application installed on your device, download the application from https://www.pm-prepcast.com/pocketcasts
2. Launch the Pocket Casts application.
3. Click Discover at the bottom of the screen.
4. Type or copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL in the search tab (and click Enter).
5. Click Subscribe.
6. The list of videos/files should now appear in your app.
7. To download an episode individually, find the episode you want to download then tap the download icon (three-dot menu) next to the episode.
8. If you wish to download multiple episodes at once, you can tap the three-dot menu on upper right corner of the podcast page and choose "Download All" or select multiple episodes to download.

Podcast Addict

1. If you do not have it, download the application from https://www.pm-prepcast.com/podcast-addict
2. Launch the Podcast Addict application.
3. On the top panel, select the (+) sign.
4. Select the Search icon (magnifying lens).
5. Type or copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL.
6. Select Add.
7. Select the PrepCast product you just added.
8. Click the overflow three dots "···" menu (upper-right)
9. Select Download Unplayed.
10. The videos/files should begin downloading, so you should be all set!

iTunes (Windows)

1. If you do not have it, download the application from https://www.pm-prepcast.com/download-itunes
2. Launch the iTunes application.
3. Select the "File" Menu in the upper-left corner of the screen.
4. If you can't find the "File" menu, it simply means that your "Menu Bar" is hidden. There should be a small square on the upper left portion of your iTunes. This small square has a black-and-white shade and a drop-down arrow. Select the drop-down arrow and select "Show Menu Bar" to display the"File" menu.
5. From the File menu, choose Subscribe to Podcast.
6. In the box that appears, type or copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL.
7. Click on the OK button.
8. The videos/files should now be listed in the app.
9. Downloading the videos are done one at a time. To do this, at the top of the screen, click "Unplayed". You will now see the episodes/videos list.
10. At the right-side of each episode/video, you will see the download icon, . Click this icon to download the particular episode/video.

Important Notes & Reminders

Files, especially The PrepCast™ video lessons, are quite large,  so check your connection and data plan.

If you use a cellular connection, ensure you have adequate connection speed. In addition, ensure you have an unlimited (or higher-level) data plan before downloading The PM PrepCast video files using your phone. Otherwise, it may take some time for the download to complete successfully, and you may end up with additional charges from your mobile phone provider for downloading these large files onto your phone.

Spotify does NOT allow you to add podcasts via RSS feed URLs

Spotify has decided to break from the norm and not allow subscribers to add podcasts through RSS feed URLs. So, unfortunately, you cannot download our content on Spotify.
