This article describes the basic navigation through The PM PrepCast™ and The PM Exam Simulator™ and where to find other useful tutorials.

Introduction

Welcome to the first of three "How to Get Started" articles designed to help you quickly become familiar with the PM PrepCast and the PM Exam Simulator. This series outlines the essential steps to get you up and running with both tools.

Here’s what each article in the series covers:

    1. Logging In and Finding Your Way Around—Learn how to log in, navigate the platform, and locate additional tutorials that can help you further.
    2. Using the PM PrepCast – Discover how to access and watch your PrepCast video lessons effectively.
    3. How to Get Started with the PM Exam Simulator – Understand how to launch a full practice exam or begin a quiz using the Simulator.

Log In

  1. Check your email inbox for a message from support@pm-prepcast.com or store@pm-prepcast.com with the subject line: "Your PMP Exam Prep Access Information (Includes Username and Password)"
  2. If you don't see it in your inbox, check your Spam or Junk folder.
  3. If you're unable to locate the email, follow the reset instructions below to reset your password.
  4. Go to the PM PrepCast Login page. 
  5. Enter your username & password to log in.

Welcome Page

Once logged in, you’ll land on the Welcome Page, where you can easily navigate to other areas in the learning management system and our website. Here are some key areas

  • Featured Video (Top Banner) — This area highlights important videos to support your exam preparation. We update it regularly with new content, announcements, and helpful tips
  • My Active Courses (Left Panel)— This list displays the courses you are currently enrolled in, providing quick access to your learning materials.
  • Essential links (Right Panel)— This panel offers quick links to valuable resources, including tutorials, discussion forums, and product reviews.

 

Start the PrepCast

To begin watching the PrepCast lessons, click on the PrepCast link under My Active Courses.



Start the PM Exam Simulator

Click on the PM Exam Simulator link under My Active Courses to start the Exam Simulator.



The PM PrepCast Video Lessons Page – Buttons

Once you're inside the PrepCast, here are three key navigation points to be aware of:

  1. The Logo (top left corner) brings you back to the Welcome Page.
  2. The Home button (top right icon) takes you to the My Courses page, where you can see all available courses.
  3. Help button (left-hand navigation panel) Located at the bottom of the sidebar, this button opens access to tutorials.

 

The tutorials are organized under the following tabs:

  • General LMS Tutorials – Get familiar with the Learning Management System.
  • PrepCast Usage Tutorials – Learn how to make the most of The PM PrepCast features.
  • Exam Simulator Tutorials – Understand how to effectively use the Exam Simulator for practice.
  • PDU Earning Tutorials – Explore how to earn PDUs after passing your exam.
