This article addresses what to do if you see an error about an expired date when reporting PDUs on PMI's CCRS website.
Description
When you go to the Continuing Certification Requirements System CCRS website and report PDUs for The PDU Podcast™, you may see this message: "This activity was retired on 2015-09-26. To submit a claim for this activity, you must have completed it prior to the retire date."
No Need to Worry
No need to worry. Everything is fine, and your Professional Development Units (PDUs) are just a few clicks away. You received this error message because we initially submitted our PDU Podcast activities to PMI without a dash in the Course-ID like this "PDUPC01". Then, at some point, PMI came to us and said: "We are changing the CCRS, and you need to re-input all your courses using a new Course-ID." So we had to 'duplicate' the courses and added a dash to the ID like this "PDUPC-01". But unfortunately, when you are searching by the course name, PMI will show you both the current and outdated courses. And since you didn't know the difference, you inadvertently selected the outdated course.
Use Course ID with a Dash (e.g. "PDUPC-01")
Therefore, please submit your claim again and then search for the course by ID using this format PDUPC-01," and you'll always get the current one. (Obviously, if you are looking for the next webinar, then it's PDUPC-02, PDUPC-03, and so on).
Search by Course ID under the Title
Do NOT search by Name
The system shows the outdated course (without a dash) at the top of the list.
