Many students wonder if they should wait until they are ready to take practice exams and quizzes before purchasing The PM Exam Simulator™. This article explains how they can confidently buy The PM Exam Simulator™ now (perhaps when there is a discount available or as part of our bundled offer) and start using it later. Students can activate their simulator subscription when they are ready to take their first quiz/exam.
You can buy now and start later
The subscription for The PM Exam Simulator™ does not start on the day of purchase. You can buy The PM Exam Simulator now and start using it later (up to 1 year after purchase) without losing time of your subscription period. In other words, the 90-day simulator subscription is not based on your date of purchase. Rather, it is based on the day that you start using your Exam Simulator. You have one year after the date of purchase to activate your subscription.

For example, you can purchase the simulator now, but only when you are ready to take your first exam/quiz and click the PMP Exam 1 link (or other full exam links, e.g., PMP Exam 2, PMP Exam 3, etc.), your 90-day subscription will be activated. You can either begin a full exam OR, if you prefer to start with shorter quizzes, click the Timed & Learning Quizzes link.
Please note that once you start an exam or quiz, day one begins and continues until the 90th day even if you are not using the Simulator.

You can read more details in our Terms & Conditions (http://www.osp-international.com/tc). Here is the relevant section from the Terms & Conditions:
2.3.2 Product Access
Access to The PM Exam Simulator is granted on a time-limited basis. The initial access period (i.e., initial 90-day access) begins from the day when you start the first exam or quiz in the simulator.
You have one (1) year after the date of purchase to activate the exam subscription. If you do not activate your exam subscription within one (1) year then the system will automatically activate it, and your access ends 90 days thereafter.
• You purchase the exam simulator on 2021-July-14 but do not activate it.
• On 2022-Jul-15 your simulator will be automatically activated
• Your access ends 90 days thereafter
The system will send you several notifications about the 1-year activation period (i.e., “You have 6 months left to activate”). You also receive a notification when the simulator automatically activates your account.
Access extensions (i.e., 30-day extension or 60-day extension) begin on the day of extension purchase.
You agree that failure to use the simulator during the access period does not give you the right to have the access period extended at no cost. Once the access period expires you are required to purchase an extension.
You receive a username and password to access The PM Exam Simulator via the website. You may not share this username and password with third parties.
The PM Exam Simulator cannot be downloaded. The PM Exam Simulator is intended for use on a desktop or laptop computer. Other devices such as tablets or smartphones are not supported.
What happens when my subscription ends?
When your subscription expires, you will no longer have access to the PM Exam Simulator. You will only be able to see your results in the My Recent Results module for 30 days from the day of the expiration. If you need additional days of access, you have the option to purchase either a 30-day or a 60-day extension. The additional days of access are added as follows:
- If your subscription has already expired - the additional days are added starting from the date that you purchased the extension.
- If your subscription is still active - the additional days are added to your expiration date.
- You may not share your username and/or password with third parties.
- The PM Exam Simulator™ cannot be downloaded.
- The PM Exam Simulator™ is intended for use on a desktop or laptop computer. While you can use The PM Exam Simulator™ on other devices, such as tablets or smartphones, your experience will be inferior and will not simulate the environment of the real exam.
