Marking/Unmarking a Question

While this feature is very useful, you don't want to overuse it. Find out more about When to use the Mark Button.

As soon as you start the exam simulator for the first time, you will notice that there is a Mark button at the top right. The “Mark” for review button is intended for those times when you are not a hundred percent sure what the correct answer is.

For example, on this question here, I think that the correct answer is “Pre-assignment,” but it could also be “Acquisition.” I'm not a hundred percent sure. I'm leaning more towards “Pre-assignment” here, but it could be “Acquisition.” So what do I do now? Because I want to move on. I want to go to the next question and come back to this later. This is the moment when I click on the “Mark” button. And as you can see here, it now turns orange and it becomes unmark, so when I click it again, it is now unmarked again, this question, but let me Mark it again. And in this way I can Mark the question for later review.

This is great because here on this page, it's clearly visible there with the orange button. But it gets even better because when you now go to “Show Grid,” you can now see that question one here I have selected A and it is marked. And as you can see, I've already pre-marked the few other questions here in this particular exam, just as an example. So by the end of the exam, when you have maybe 10 or so 12, 15 questions marked, then this is a good way of quickly seeing which ones do I have to go back to? Which ones do I need to review?

Next, when you click the “End Exam” button here and you end the exam, then on the report, you will also notice that it says here “Marked.” So in this particular case, I now know that I have selected answer A, it was correct, but I had it marked because I was not a hundred percent certain. All right, let me close this window here. Because one question that students always have is when should I use the Mark button?
