This article will help you with your first steps in using The PM Exam Simulator, such as logging into your account, accessing the simulator homepage, starting an exam or a quiz, and reviewing your reports.
How do I log into my simulator account?
Access the PM PrepCast login page at https://www.project-management-prepcast.com/login and use the login details that you received in the email sent to you when you subscribed to the simulator. An example of the email is shown below.
How do I access The PM Exam Simulator?
After logging into your account as described in the previous step, you are presented with the "Welcome" page. In the "My active courses" section, click the course you want to access. An example of the "Welcome" page is shown below.
How do I start a quiz or an exam?
After logging into your account and accessing the simulator as described in the previous steps, you are presented with the simulator homepage. You can either select a quiz or an exam. An example of the simulator homepage is shown below.
Note: if this is your first time using the simulator, and you have selected a quiz with the default value "Include only unanswered questions" in the "Include questions" filter, you will be presented with a message: "You don't have any unanswered questions in this selection. Please select "Include all questions" if this is your first quiz." This is normal. Please select "Include all questions" as suggested by the message. The message and the criteria to select are shown in the screenshots below.
How do I access my exam or quiz report?
After you end an exam or quiz, its report will be displayed to you automatically. If you wish to review the report after you close it, there are two options. Both options are on the simulator homepage, in the "My Recent Results" section, as described below.
Option 1 - Quick Access
On the simulator homepage, in the "My Recent Results" section, under the "Exam Name" sub-section, five recent results are listed. Click any of the results, and the corresponding report will be displayed.
Option 2 - All Results
On the simulator homepage, there is a link at the bottom of the "My Recent Results" section called "Click here for all results and full statistics". Click the link, and a new tab with all of your results will open.

What does my exam or quiz report include?
The exam or quiz report consists of five main sections:
- Summary
- Results by Domain
- Filters
- List of questions
- Results by Knowledge Area
An example of an exam/quiz report is shown below.
Below is the list of additional information you can find in each section of your exam/quiz report:
- Summary
- Student name
- Date the exam/quiz was attempted
- Exam/quiz ID
- Results
- A short explanation of the result
- Results by Domain
- Domain Name
- Number of questions per Domain
- Number of correctly answered questions per Domain
- Percent of questions answered correctly per Domain
- Rating per Domain
- An explanation of the rating
- Filters

- The question number (Note, this is not the question ID. The question ID is shown on the question page when you click the question number).

What if I want to delete an exam or quiz report?
While we understand that there could be various reasons for the student to request deletion of their exam or quiz reports, each exam and quiz taken in the PM Exam Simulator affects the student's statistics calculation. Therefore, and as a general rule, it is our policy not to delete past reports, regardless of the reason provided. For more information, please review our Terms and Conditions.
