Please note that the instructions below use each browser’s automated machine translation feature. Machine translations are often inaccurate and may lead to confusing text in some areas, especially on buttons and labels if the translated text is longer than the original. The automatic translation function will translate all text on the screen, including the application’s user interface, which can result in unusual-looking or truncated buttons.
Generic Setup for Any Browser
- Install English in your browser's language settings if it's not already present.
- Install or enable your preferred language and set it as your primary or preferred language for translations.
- Enable automatic translation from English to your preferred language before starting the exam.
Once these steps are completed, most modern browsers will automatically offer to translate pages from English into your preferred language.
Google Chrome
Chrome Settings
- Open Chrome browser.
- Click the three dots (top right corner) and select Settings > Languages.
- Ensure English and your preferred language are installed.
- Set your preferred language as the top language and enable "This language is used when translating pages."
Using Chrome Translate in the Simulator
- Start the simulator and look at the main screen.
- Click the three dots (top right corner) and select "Translate."
- A popup appears at the top right where you can select languages.
- Set it to translate from English to your preferred language.
- Check "Always translate English."
- Start your exam, and Chrome will automatically translate it for you.
- During the exam, you can switch between the two languages by clicking the small "GT" icon at the top right of the URL bar.

Do not list English under Never offer to translate these languages
Safari
Safari Settings
- Open the Safari browser.
- Click on the Apple menu and select System Settings.
- Under the General settings, select Language and Region.
- Add your preferred language.
Using Safari Translate in the Simulator
- Start the simulator.
- Select Timed and Learning Quizzes or PMP Exam.
- Select View > Translation > Select Preferred Language.
- Click on the Start button of the Quiz or Exam.
- You should now be able to view the Simulator in your preferred language.
Microsoft Edge
Edge Settings
- Open Edge browser.
- Go to Settings > Languages.
- Ensure both English and your preferred language are installed.
- Set your preferred language at the top.
- Next to English, click the three dots and select "Offer to translate pages in this language."
- Afterward, you'll see a checkmark in front of this option.
Note: Offer to translate pages in this language will appear and not be greyed out as an option if Microsoft Edge is not displayed in English.
Using Edge Translate in the Simulator
- Start the simulator.
- Right-click anywhere on the page and select "Translate to [preferred language]."
- A bluish icon with the characters "aあ" will appear at the top right of the URL bar. Click on it.
- In the popup, set it to translate to [preferred language] and make sure "Always translate pages from English" is checked.
- Start your exam. You may see the popup again; if prompted, check "Always translate pages from English."
- The exam questions should now appear in your preferred language.
- You can switch between English and your preferred language by clicking on the "aあ" icon again at the top right.
Firefox
Firefox's translation feature is still in Beta and not as reliable. We recommend using Chrome, Edge, or another browser if possible.
Firefox Settings
- Open the Firefox browser.
- Go to Settings and scroll down to "Language" in the General section.
- You can also search for "Language" at the top.
- Click "Set Alternatives" and ensure both English and your preferred language are installed.
Using Firefox Translate in the Simulator
- Start the simulator and begin your exam.
- Once you see the first question, click the three-line menu at the top right and select "Translate."
- In the popup at the top right, select "Translate from" English and "Translate to" your preferred language.
- A blue icon will appear at the top right in the URL bar, indicating the page has been translated.
- Selecting "Show Original" may close the page, so it's not recommended.
